For several decades, the conventional career tale suggested a straight line. In essence, you spend four decades working hard for a gold watch at 65 and begin living. 


However, a new era of employees will rejuvenate this story by 2026. Professionals will experience ‘micro-retirements’ rather than a single large retirement at the end of life.
